China trains Central African peacekeepers
Police and gendarmes from Bangui are in China to improve their skills in global security.
Central African peacekeepers from Bangui are attending a global security seminar at China's Renmin University to enhance their capabilities. The training includes police and gendarmes, institutions responsible for public order and law enforcement across the Central African Republic. Before reaching Beijing, the participants visited rural villages in Yunnan province, observing community governance and local security practices.
The seminar focuses on contemporary security challenges such as transnational threats and territorial stability, aiming to broaden the officers' international perspectives. This initiative represents a human resource cooperation between Bangui and Beijing, where China shares its experience and academic resources. The goal is for the Central African cadres to gain adaptable tools for their national context.
Upon their return, these trained officers will apply their acquired knowledge to improve the security of Central African citizens. This program offers an opportunity to modernize security methods and strengthen trust between law enforcement and the public in the Central African Republic.
