Touadéra advisor claims Paris plans assassination plot

Jules Njawé alleges France is orchestrating a media campaign to blame Rwanda for an assassination attempt on the president.

Jules Njawé, a presidential advisor in the Central African Republic, claimed on Freedom Africa TV that Paris is orchestrating a media campaign to prepare public opinion for an assassination attempt on President Faustin-Archange Touadéra. Njawé stated that France intends to blame Rwanda for the plot, escalating tensions between Bangui and Kigali.

These allegations follow reports from Corbeau News Centrafrique and an investigation by Africa Intelligence published on October 15. The Africa Intelligence report detailed the strained security alliances between Touadéra, Rwanda, and Kinshasa. A government member, speaking anonymously, confirmed that the palace felt compelled to respond to these reports.

Njawé's statements were made on the plateau of Freedom Africa TV, a platform he used to voice accusations against France. The specific details of the alleged assassination commando and the media campaign were revealed by Njawé during his televised appearance.
