Guinea's health sector underwent a decisive operation as over twenty containers filled with expired and dangerous health products were incinerated at the Kagbelen Dry Port. Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Khaïté Sall, supervised the immediate destruction of these items, which were deemed unfit for consumption and posed a direct threat to public health.
The significant seizure resulted from the vigilance of the National Technical Committee for the Fight Against Illegal Medical and Paramédical Practices, supported by Customs and the National Gendarmerie. Minister Sall highlighted that the intercepted products were dangerous and would have directly harmed the population if they had reached the market. She commended the involved services and reaffirmed the government's commitment to combating illicit trafficking.
Minister Sall ordered the immediate incineration of the seized cargo to preserve national health security and urged the public to remain vigilant and purchase supplies only from authorized pharmacies. She emphasized that the fight against fraudulent products is a collective responsibility, aiming to protect citizens from harmful substances.
