The People’s Republic of China has donated over 300 modern agricultural machines and equipment to Liberia to increase food security and local production. The donation aims to provide farmers with modern tools to improve productivity, reduce manual labor, and increase the cultivation of crops like rice. President Joseph Nyuma Boakai thanked China for its support, stating the donation is an important contribution to Liberia’s food self-sufficiency drive. He urged the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure effective distribution and maintenance across all 15 counties. Agriculture Minister Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah announced plans to expand mechanized services, building on 13 existing hubs.
