The House of Representatives voted to approve a memorandum of understanding with Turkey on maritime jurisdiction areas in the Mediterranean Sea.

Libya's House of Representatives has ratified a memorandum of understanding with Turkey concerning the delimitation of maritime jurisdiction areas in the Mediterranean Sea. The decision was made during a session in Benghazi chaired by Speaker Al-Salheen Abdel-Nabi. The vote followed a briefing from a committee established to address Libya's land and maritime borders.

In addition to ratifying the Turkey deal, the parliament unanimously revoked two previous resolutions. Resolution No. (1) of 2020 had rejected the ratification of similar memorandums between the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord and Turkey, while Resolution No. (6) of 2020 had called for severing political ties with Türkiye. The House also voted to form a committee to engage with the Supreme Judicial Council.

Discussions on establishing a Libyan authority for emergency management were postponed. The House also considered amendments to the Cybercrime Law, referring the proposal back to the Legislative Committee for redrafting. A draft law on restrictions for possessing Libyan currency was also sent to the Finance Committee for input before further legislative review.
