Morocco's House of Representatives approved the government program with 204 votes in favor.

Morocco’s Head of Government Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri secured parliamentary investiture on Thursday after her government’s program received 204 votes in favor and 127 against in the House of Representatives. A total of 331 lawmakers participated in the vote, which concluded a plenary session where El Mansouri addressed remarks on her government’s program for the 2027-2031 term.

During the session, El Mansouri defended the government’s decision to discuss the 2027 Finance Bill before investiture, stating it did not violate the Constitution. She also engaged in sharp exchanges with the opposition Justice and Development Party (PJD) regarding electoral integrity and women’s employment. El Mansouri, a lawyer, asserted her understanding of constitutional law in her defense of the government's actions.

El Mansouri accused the PJD of double standards on elections, questioning their claims of fairness when they won and allegations of manipulation when they did not. She highlighted the Interior Ministry's participatory approach to electoral legislation, which included all parties, even the PJD, in its development.
