The midwife and teacher released six books on health and two on etiquette in Malagasy.
Holitiana Vololoniaina Rabemanantsoa, a midwife and teacher, has published eight books in Malagasy covering health, maternity, and child-rearing. Her collection includes six volumes of "Ny Fahasalamako" focused on health and two books titled "Olo-mendrika" on etiquette. Her two latest publications, released on July 26, 2026, are dedicated to pregnancy and infants.
The book for pregnant women details pregnancy stages, baby development, maternal changes, and postpartum care, while the infant book covers newborn care, feeding, and hygiene. Rabemanantsoa's health books incorporate knowledge of natural remedies and local plants, aiming to aid public understanding and daily prevention. She stresses that her books do not replace medical consultations.
The author began developing this collection in 2011, with the first books appearing in 2013. Rabemanantsoa, who is also a doctoral student in education and social sciences, continues her work of knowledge transmission. She believes learning is a continuous process serving education, health, and daily life.
