Speaking at a meeting with United Nations agencies on Thursday in Bentiu, Kuyok Abol Kuyok, caretaker Minister of General Education and Instruction, stated the government's commitment to protecting those impacted by displacement and environmental shocks. He highlighted that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management is working with institutions and partners to coordinate emergency aid, including food, shelter, and healthcare, depending on available resources.
The government acknowledges challenges such as recurrent flooding, limited finances, poor infrastructure, and logistical problems that hinder humanitarian efforts.
