Speaking in São Tomé and Príncipe, Levi stated that while political-diplomatic ties are strong, other sectors, particularly trade, remain underdeveloped despite mutual potential. She highlighted cocoa and coffee from São Tomé and Príncipe as products with potential for increased circulation, while Mozambique offers agricultural capabilities to meet São Toméan market needs.
The Prime Minister, representing President Daniel Chapo at the inauguration of re-elected President Carlos Vila Nova, emphasized the existing effective cooperation in training. São Toméan students and professionals benefit from training in Mozambique, particularly in medicine, police, and justice sectors, with opportunities and scholarships expected to increase. Levi also identified fisheries as a key area for enhanced cooperation, leveraging São Tomé and Príncipe's expertise and Mozambique's extensive coastline.
To facilitate these expanded collaborations, Levi advocated for the creation of joint working mechanisms to identify specific needs and priority areas. This structured approach, she believes, will enable both nations to advance cooperation more securely and effectively. The proposed expansion aims to build on existing strengths and address complementary needs between the two countries.
