Tunisia Projects 1150 Female Ventures by 2026

The Raïdet program aims to launch approximately 1150 projects by the end of 2026, supported by an estimated 10 million dinars.

Tunisia's Raïdet program is projected to facilitate the launch of around 1150 female-led projects by the close of 2026, with an estimated financial backing of 10 million dinars, according to the 2027 economic budget draft. This initiative is part of broader efforts to bolster female entrepreneurship and enhance the economic integration of vulnerable women and families. A national digital platform will be established to aid in the marketing of products from women and young girls, particularly in rural areas, improving their market access.

Further support includes a free hotline to guide aspiring female entrepreneurs to available programs and funding structures, alongside training and mentorship. An initiative will span all governorates to standardize the entrepreneurial journey from conception to post-completion follow-up. The program also plans to evaluate its 2022-2025 performance, introduce a new financing line for higher education and vocational training graduates, and draft a decree for a new national female entrepreneurship program.

Specific allocations include 2 million dinars to create 200 income sources for agricultural workers and 1.5 million dinars for the Samida program, aimed at women experiencing domestic violence, to establish 150 income sources. Additionally, 4 million dinars are designated for vulnerable families to create approximately 480 income sources, targeting those affected by climate change or with children in care facilities.

Why it mattersFemale entrepreneurs and vulnerable families in Tunisia will benefit from new programs and funding aimed at creating income sources and improving economic integration.
