Burundi's sole referee selected for CAF matches

Pacifique Ndabihawenimana is Burundi's only referee chosen for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup group stages. 35 referees from 12 African nations will officiate these matches, beginning November 18 in Cairo.
This selection marks a significant moment for Burundi's football officials. Unlike other nations, Burundi's referees will not use Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology during this phase, focusing instead on traditional officiating.
Ndabihawenimana joins an elite group of 76 officials selected by the Confederation of African Football. His presence ensures Burundi remains represented in high-level continental competitions.
