Benin nominated for four Africa Tourism Awards

The country, its cultural heritage, Benin Tourisme, and a tourism campaign are finalists for the 2026 awards.

Benin has received four nominations at the 2026 Africa Tourism Awards, recognizing its cultural heritage and tourism appeal. The country is a finalist for national destination of the year and cultural destination of the year. Benin Tourisme is competing for best tourism office, and the "Explore Benin, A World of Wonders" campaign is nominated for best tourism video.

The public vote, which closes on October 29, accounts for 20% of the final score. Professional juries and the Balearica Awards College each hold 40% of the vote. Winners will be announced on November 1 in London.

The nominations cover the destination, its cultural heritage, promotion structure, and international communication. These are not yet awards, as final scores will determine the winners across more than 30 categories.
