Cape Verde government keeps gas prices steady
Government approved stable butane gas prices for November, while fuel prices may slightly decrease.
The price of butane gas will not increase in November, and available indicators suggest slight decreases for gasoline and diesel, according to the Government. The decision to maintain gas prices at October levels was approved on Tuesday, October 27, by the Council of Ministers.
This decision comes as the MpD party accuses the Executive of not sufficiently addressing the impact of rising fuel costs on the cost of living for Cape Verdean families. The government's announcement provides some relief amidst ongoing economic concerns.
The Assembly of the Republic will also debate the State of Justice this Thursday. Priorities for human resources, reducing case backlogs, and improving court responses were presented by PAICV, MpD, and UCID. UCID also highlighted rising sexual crimes and the need to review gender-based violence policies.
Why it mattersCape Verdean families will not face higher butane gas prices in November.
