Djibouti fund backs 15 community projects
The Community Development Fund has now supported 52 local initiatives since its launch.
Djibouti's Agency for Social Development (ADDS) has signed agreements with 15 associations to fund local development projects. The Community Development Fund (FDC) allocated 20 million Djiboutian francs (FDJ) for these 15 sub-projects, each proposed by an association from the program's intervention zones. The initiative aims to support local efforts and increase resident involvement in neighborhood development.
The signing ceremony was attended by parliamentarians, the mayor of Balbala commune, local officials, and directors from ADDS and the French Development Agency (AFD). Representatives from the beneficiary associations were also present. Speakers praised the quality of the selected projects and urged the recipients to manage the funds responsibly and execute their plans effectively.
This marks the third call for projects by the FDC, bringing the total number of funded initiatives to 52 since its inception. The cumulative amount disbursed for these projects now stands at 57.97 million FDJ.
