Djibouti prepares World Bank business climate assessment

Djibouti's government is preparing for the World Bank's B-READY assessment to improve its business environment.

Djibouti is preparing for the World Bank's B-READY assessment, chaired by MIDDP Secretary-General Ali Houmed Aboubaker, to improve the business climate and country attractiveness. The B-READY evaluates the regulatory framework, public services for businesses, and rule enforcement in 10 areas: company creation, public utilities and financial services, employment, taxation, international trade, competition, dispute resolution, and insolvency.

Administrations, banks, essential service operators, professional organizations, and businesses are participating in this preparation. They must adopt the methodology, review indicators and questionnaires, and designate focal points for data collection.

The process will then involve processing questionnaires for the 2027 edition, identifying priority reforms, and developing a roadmap. This aims to enhance the business environment and country attractiveness.
