Gabon agency faces business creation complaints

Entrepreneurs report ongoing technical issues at the ANPI-Gabon single window, hindering company registration.

Entrepreneurs in Gabon are facing persistent technical difficulties at the ANPI-Gabon single window, delaying the formalization of new businesses. Sylvie Kotha épouse Nzamba, a municipal councilor, highlighted these ongoing issues on Facebook, noting that problems first signaled in January 2025 remain unresolved in October 2026.

These technical failures at the Agency for the Promotion of Investment (ANPI-Gabon) risk slowing down projects and causing entrepreneurs to miss market opportunities due to delayed documentation. Nzamba has called for explanations regarding the causes of these persistent malfunctions and the solutions being implemented.

The complaints arise as the government, supported by the UNDP and Comilog, launches a three-month study across Gabon's nine provinces to identify obstacles to entrepreneurial initiative. The study aims to understand economic, sociological, psychological, and ecological barriers, but faces criticism for not immediately addressing administrative hurdles.
