Gabon launches digital platform for state assets

The new Fichier unique des participations (FUP) aims to centralize data and improve financial transparency.

Gabon launched the Fichier unique des participations (FUP) in Libreville on October 26, a digital platform to centralize state asset data. The tool aims to improve public portfolio tracking, financial transparency, and decision-making. Marc Abeghe, the Minister Delegate for Economy, Finance, Debt, and Participations, officially launched the FUP.

The FUP, developed by the Directorate General of Participations, seeks to address the scattered nature of information on state-held assets. It will provide a consolidated map of public holdings through centralized, structured, and secure data. This centralization is intended to enhance the monitoring of revenues generated from state investments.

Anne Nkene, Director General of Participations, stated the tool will modernize public portfolio management and strengthen financial transparency. The initiative aligns with national priorities for economic recovery and digital transformation of administration, as outlined in the national growth and development plan.
