The Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, inaugurated two new Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds in Keta Municipality on Monday. The facilities at Seva and Tengeykope-Anyrawase were constructed within seven months using funds from the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF). Sparshey Construction Company Limited and CityMax Ghana Limited built the compounds.
The new health centres feature outpatient departments, consulting rooms, delivery rooms, admission wards, and records units. They also include nurses’ quarters with essential amenities to support health personnel. The Regional Minister stated that the nurses’ quarters would allow staff to live closer to the facilities and respond to emergencies promptly. The Municipal Health Officer assured residents of the health directorate’s commitment to working with communities for effective use.

He also mentioned that water challenges in Anyako and Seva have been addressed, and a new transformer was installed for stable electricity. In a related development, a six-unit classroom block was handed over to the Anlo Afiadenyigba Roman Catholic Church and Basic School.
