Yellow fever vaccination in Ghana's Wa West District has reached 92% of the target population. Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, stated the vaccine is free, dry, safe, and internationally approved. Out of 225,446 people vaccinated, only one mild headache has been reported as a side effect.
The campaign, targeting individuals aged 9 months to 60 years, has vaccinated 79,238 males and 92,768 females.
