Team Gambia Coalition names Lamin J. Darboe flagbearer

The Team Gambia Grand Coalition officially named Dr. Lawyer Lamin J. Darboe as its presidential candidate for the December 5, 2026 elections on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The Coalition Executive Committee concluded its scrutiny of the election process, deeming the results unimpeachable.
The flagbearer selection process began on October 30, 2026, with aspirants attempting to reach a unanimous decision, which proved unsuccessful. The Good Governance Committee then conducted a vote in the presence of aspirants and their representatives, submitting its report on November 2, 2026.
