ADM opens Nairobi office to boost East African trade
The global nutrition and agricultural company aims to connect local demand with its worldwide supply chain network.
ADM, a global leader in nutrition and agricultural supply chain solutions, has opened a new destination marketing office in Nairobi, Kenya. This move strengthens the company's ability to link customers across East Africa to its global supply chain network. Kenya is a leading trade hub for food and feed ingredients and serves as a gateway to the wider East African region.
The Nairobi office will offer customers access to a wide range of food ingredients, feedstuffs, and animal nutrition products. It will focus on market insights, local merchandising, and storage and distribution. Patrick Heijbroek, Vice President of Global Trade, stated that East Africa's population of over 500 million people represents a high-growth market with increasing demand for quality ingredients and supply chain solutions.
This expansion builds on ADM's decade-long presence in Kenya and complements its existing investments in Africa, including human nutrition labs in Nairobi, a distribution hub in Lagos, Nigeria, and flavor creation capabilities in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2025, ADM's destination marketing operations handled nearly 31 million metric tons.
Why it mattersFarmers and businesses in East Africa will gain better access to ADM's global supply chain for food and feed ingredients.
