The body of Harouna, a young man in his twenties from Koni residing in Domoni, was found on Thursday morning, October 29, 2026, on Chavani beach in Anjouan.
Beachgoers extracting marine sand discovered the body washed ashore on the Domoni coast. The national gendarmerie was alerted and contacted the prefect of the Domoni region.
Harouna was reportedly seen swimming at Chikrini beach hours before his body was found. The remains were transferred to Koni, his home village.
