Morocco's Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane is scheduled for completion by early 2028, according to Economy and Finance Minister Fouzi Lekjaa. Construction is progressing well on the facility, which is expected to significantly influence urban development in Greater Casablanca. The stadium aims to be ready for use by the national team and Casablanca clubs Raja and Wydad before the 2030 World Cup.

He noted that FIFA regulations require the World Cup final to be held at the largest capacity stadium, and Hassan II Stadium currently holds that distinction. Lekjaa emphasized the 2030 World Cup's vision extends beyond football to highlight shared Mediterranean history and promote intercultural dialogue.

The tournament, which marks 100 years since the first World Cup, is a joint bid involving Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. Minister Lekjaa highlighted the goal of creating opportunities for young people and promoting dialogue between civilizations.
