Grebo leader urges calm after man found dead

Counsellor Kunkunyon Wleh Teh called for a swift investigation into Samuel Gekor's death near Zwedru.

A prominent Liberian lawyer and Grebo community leader, Counsellor Kunkunyon Wleh Teh, has called for calm and a swift investigation into the death of Samuel Gekor. Gekor, a young Grebo man, was found dead on a cassava farm near Zwedru in Grand Gedeh County after being missing for three days.

Teh expressed deep sadness and extended condolences to Gekor's family and the Grebo community. He urged residents to remain peaceful and law-abiding while the Liberia National Police and Ministry of Justice speed up their investigation into the disappearance and death.

The lawyer stressed that every Liberian deserves the right to life, safety, and dignity, and that no family should be left without answers. He cautioned against allowing grief and anger to lead to actions that could endanger lives or deepen divisions, stating that justice must be pursued through lawful means.
