MCSS Superintendent Dr. Augurie E. Stevens announced on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, that 201 more volunteer teachers have been added to the national payroll, bringing the total to 409. Outstanding salaries are also being processed as part of the agreement.

Dr. Stevens thanked President Joseph Nyuma Boakai's administration for its commitment to finding lasting solutions for public school teachers. The government must now fulfill these promises to ensure uninterrupted learning and a stable education system for students.

Why it mattersStudents can now return to school and continue their education after a period of disruption due to unresolved teacher employment and salary issues.
