Coastal communities in Moma, Ilha de Moçambique and Mossuril receive bicycles, smartphones and manuals.
Gender Action Learning System (GALS) champions in Mozambique's Moma, Ilha de Moçambique, and Mossuril districts received essential kits last week. The training aims to equip them with socially accepted tools for their families. The kits included bicycles, backpacks, T-shirts, caps, smartphones, GALS manuals, notebooks, and pens to help them continue disseminating GALS in their communities.
District officials, including Moma District Permanent Secretary Albino Mucuna and Ilha de Moçambique Administrator Josina Taipo, attended the handover ceremonies. They expressed their commitment to continued collaboration with coastal communities to promote gender-based practices. Champion Atija Momade Alfane spoke for the recipients, emphasizing the importance of sharing and unity within families based on GALS lessons.
