Revuè River bridge reopens with 30-tonne limit

Mozambique's ANE partially completed repairs, restricting vehicles to 30 tonnes.

The Revuè River bridge in Mozambique has reopened following partial repair work by ANE, but with a strict 30-tonne gross vehicle weight limit. Vehicles exceeding this limit must use alternative routes to avoid penalties, including fines and cargo transfer.

ANE stated that further maintenance, such as tightening bolts and reinstating the pedestrian walkway, is ongoing. These activities may lead to traffic restrictions or temporary interruptions for safety reasons.

The agency did not provide a date for the full completion of the bridge repairs or when the weight limit might be lifted.

Why it mattersHeavy vehicles exceeding 30 tonnes must use alternative routes, impacting transport and logistics.
