Old Mutual raises SEED prize pool to N$650 000

15 entrepreneurs will now receive financial support across five categories in the 2026 programme.

The Old Mutual Foundation has increased the 2026 SEED: Seasons prize pool to N$650 000, recognizing more entrepreneurs across Namibia. Instead of three overall winners, the programme will now award first, second, and third place in each of its five categories, resulting in 15 entrepreneurs receiving financial support.

Mignon du Preez, Old Mutual Namibia Group Marketing, Public Affairs and Sustainability Executive, stated that the response inspired them to broaden the prize structure to support more entrepreneurs. The total prize allocation is N$650 000 across all five categories.

The five categories are SEED Level Up, SEED Green, SEED Play, SEED Made, and SEED Manufacturing, recognizing youth entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, sport and fitness, creative industries, and manufacturing. Applications, which close tomorrow, are available at selected Old Mutual branches and via QR codes on social media.
