Tanzania invites Algerian firms to explore investment
Ambassador Mobhare Matinyi seeks partnerships in agriculture, energy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and manufacturing.
Tanzania is seeking to translate its friendship with Algeria into stronger commercial partnerships, inviting Algerian companies to explore investment opportunities across agriculture, energy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and manufacturing. Tanzania’s Ambassador to Algeria, Mobhare Matinyi, made the appeal during the Embassy’s monthly press briefing in Algiers on Monday. The initiative aims to inform the public about emerging opportunities for trade, investment, and technical collaboration.
Ambassador Matinyi highlighted potential collaboration in agriculture and agro-processing, noting Algeria's advances in food processing and export readiness. He engaged with Algerian companies involved in food processing, meat, and chicken production, encouraging investment in Tanzania. Opportunities were also presented in livestock technologies, animal health, feed production, fertilizers, irrigation, and food packaging.
The Embassy's engagements followed participation in the "Made in Algeria" Agri-Food Trade Fair on October 17, where Tanzania identified companies whose capabilities could support national priorities. Both countries occupy strategic positions, with Algeria linking North Africa and the Sahel, and Tanzania connecting East, Central, and Southern African markets representing over 500 million people.
