Zimbabwe institute seeks Kenyan training partnership

The Institute of Social Development Practices aims to boost community development training through collaboration with Tharaka University.

Zimbabwe's Institute of Social Development Practices (ISDP) is seeking a partnership with Kenya's Tharaka University to enhance community development training. ISDP founder Petronella Muungani attended the annual human resource students’ international conference and expo 2026 in Kenya last week, where discussions for cooperation began.

Muungani stated that the visit opened avenues for collaboration between Zimbabwe and Kenya in areas including community development, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and poverty alleviation. This initiative aims to strengthen the role of social sciences in Africa's development agenda.

The ISDP's goal is to give social sciences and community development a stronger place on the continent's development agenda.

Why it mattersZimbabweans involved in community development, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship will benefit from enhanced training programs resulting from this partnership.
