The Nigerian Flamingos, who eliminated Benin in qualifiers, will play their first final on November 7 in Rabat.

Nigeria will play Japan for the U17 Women's World Cup title on Saturday, November 7, in Rabat, Morocco. Kick-off is set for 19:30 Benin time at the Mohammed VI Complex. The Nigerian Flamingos are the first African team to reach this stage and aim for a continental first.

The Nigerian team secured their final spot by defeating Brazil 3-1, with Queen Joseph scoring and Awawu Bashiru adding two goals. Japan, a four-time finalist and 2014 champion, reached this year's final after beating Kenya, Ghana, and North Korea.

Benin's U17 team was eliminated by Nigeria in the African qualification rounds with a combined score of 8-6. The Amazones lost the second leg 5-3 on July 11 in Lomé, despite two goals from Romaine Gandonou. This final appearance follows Nigeria's bronze medal at the 2022 U17 Women's World Cup.
