Centrafrican schools prepare for December 1st parade
Students in Bimbo practiced marching drills on November 5 for the upcoming national day celebration.
Schools in Bimbo, Central African Republic, held their second preparatory session on Thursday, November 5, for the December 1, 2026, national day parade. Students from public and private institutions gathered, dressed in their school colours, to practice marching routines. The event commemorates the country's transition from Oubangui-Chari to the Central African Republic.
Teacher Brice Ngaïté from M’Poko Bac school noted the good atmosphere among students, despite the early stage of preparations. However, some attendees, like François Nglomoudé, observed that students did not consistently follow the marching rhythm, leading to a less harmonious display. Nglomoudé suggested that teachers need to reinforce the marching cadence for better organisation.
The countdown has begun for the December 1 celebration, but the environment in Bimbo and its surrounding areas has not yet been decorated. Preparations for the parade are ongoing across various cities in the Central African Republic.
