Ivory Coast removed from FATF grey list
The Financial Action Task Force removed Ivory Coast from its list of countries under enhanced surveillance.
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has removed Ivory Coast from its list of countries under enhanced surveillance. The international organisation, which fights money laundering and terrorist financing, made the decision at its meeting in Paris.
The FATF announced the decision on Friday, October 30, 2026, following 24 months of scrutiny that began on October 25, 2024. This marks the end of a two-year period of difficulty for the Ivorian economy.
Ivory Coast has now completed two years of surveillance by the FATF. The country has strengthened its measures against financial crime.
