Cameroon's South West Manyu Cocoa Farmers Exporters Cooperative paid CFA1.03 billion in customs duties and taxes in 2025 on cocoa exported to Nigeria. Chief Tabe Besong Oben Richard, the cooperative's board chairman, presented these figures at a meeting in Limbe on October 28, 2026. The Ministry of Finance provided the cooperative with a certificate acknowledging these tax payments. The National Cocoa and Coffee Board (NCCB) data supports the cooperative's reported export activity.
The cooperative's export volumes to Nigeria rose by 18.9% in 2025. This increase in exports was accompanied by higher reported customs and tax payments. The available information does not include a breakdown of the specific duties and taxes paid.
