The Telecommunications Regulatory Agency awarded SanlamAllianz Cameroon Assurances a three-year deal to cover its fleet and technical equipment vehicles.
SanlamAllianz Cameroon Assurances secured two contracts totaling CFA485.8 million to insure vehicles for the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ART) over three years. The tender results, announced on October 19, 2026, by ART Director General Philémon Zoo Zame, were awarded under an emergency procedure. The larger contract, worth CFA412.4 million, covers the agency's main vehicle fleet, while a second contract of CFA73.4 million is for vehicles with onboard technical equipment.
These new contracts will run for 36 months, averaging approximately CFA161.9 million annually. This award follows a tender from 10 years prior, where the ART budgeted CFA180 million for its vehicle fleet insurance between 2017 and 2019. An additional CFA30 million was allocated for mobile radio-frequency monitoring stations in that earlier budget.
The total value of the current contracts includes all taxes. The CFA412.4 million portion represents nearly 85% of the total award. The average annual cost is an estimate based on the contract duration and does not dictate payment schedules.
