Comorian officials are examining Djibouti's social welfare system, including its national social security fund and the Al Shifa hospital.
A delegation from the Comoros is visiting Djibouti to study its social protection and health systems, seeking opportunities for cooperation. The Comorians are particularly interested in the operational framework of Djibouti's National Social Security Fund (CNSS), which oversees social welfare and the recently opened Al Shifa hospital.
Discussions focused on the governance of social protection, coverage, healthcare facility management, and human resources. The delegation also inquired about the management and operational strategies of the Al Shifa hospital, which began operations in late June under the CNSS. Djibouti's Minister Yonis Ali Guedi highlighted recent reforms in social protection and emphasized the value of South-South cooperation.
Minister Guedi stated that sharing experiences could strengthen cooperation and lead to solutions tailored to each nation's circumstances. He assured the Comorian delegation that Djibouti's Ministry of Labor and the CNSS are open to continued dialogue and exploring potential areas for collaboration.
