The Gambian government has started repaying a D563.8 million loan for Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC) buses. The first payment covering principal and interest was made in May 2026. Finance Minister Seedy Keita informed the National Assembly that the loan will be repaid through 10 semi-annual instalments. The repayment schedule began on April 30, 2026, and is set to conclude by October 30, 2030. The initial instalment, due April 30, 2026, was paid on May 12, 2026.
