Kenya and IFAD sign $2.08 million climate resilience grant
The funding will integrate climate information systems into agricultural value chains to help farmers manage climate risks.
Kenya and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have signed a 2.08 million US dollar grant to boost climate resilience in agriculture. This initiative aims to integrate climate information systems into agricultural value chains, helping farmers and agribusinesses anticipate and manage climate-related risks.
The programme is expected to improve agricultural productivity by enabling producers to incorporate climate information into their farming and business decisions. Mbadi reaffirmed the government's commitment to deepening cooperation with IFAD, while Marchisio pledged to strengthen the partnership.
