Morocco extends fuel subsidies for transport operators

Government offers financial support for passenger and freight carriers as diesel prices rise.

Morocco's government will provide direct financial support to road transport operators, including passenger and freight carriers, due to increasing fuel costs. The Head of Government’s Office announced the additional subsidy will cover a 15-day period.

Applications for the subsidy open on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and eligible transport professionals can submit them via the government's online platform. This measure follows a rise in diesel prices by 50 centimes to MAD 1 per liter at the start of November, with some stations nearing MAD 17.

The government stated the support aims to protect transport operators from fuel price volatility and minimize its impact on their businesses.
