Mozambique monitors anti-money laundering measures

Government reviews actions taken since removal from FATF grey list in October 2025.

Mozambique's Council of Ministers is monitoring anti-money laundering measures to maintain progress after its removal from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list in October 2025. Inocêncio Impissa, spokesperson for the Council of Ministers, stated that this monitoring ensures compliance with FATF recommendations.

The review assesses actions taken by the country, including indicators on cases submitted to the Office of the Attorney-General, those tried, and pending proceedings. Impissa announced that the report detailing these efforts will be published on the Ministry of Finance’s website for public access.

The report allows citizens to consult the results and the specific measures implemented by the government. This initiative aims to demonstrate continued commitment to financial transparency following the FATF's decision last year.
