Two drivers are in custody following a fatal accident on the Juba-Nimule highway, with investigations ongoing.

Police in Nimule, Eastern Equatoria State, have arrested two drivers in connection with a fatal road accident on the Juba-Nimule highway. Investigators are working to determine which vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian near the Moli area. The driver of a clearing and forwarding company vehicle initially reported finding the body and was subsequently detained on suspicion of involvement.

Lieutenant Colonel David Khasmiro confirmed that multiple truck drivers were detained as authorities struggled to identify the vehicle responsible. The drivers of a small car and a truck are currently in custody. Second Lieutenant Ochaya James, a police investigator in Magwi County, is also investigating a report of a truck involved in a fatal accident in Nimule and another incident in Jokoki Village.
