Coca-Cola rewards 26 Ugandan student creators

The beverage company awarded cash prizes to university students for digital content produced during a month-long competition.

Coca-Cola has rewarded 26 university students in Uganda with cash prizes for their digital content creation during the Essawa Yona Kisoboka Coca-Cola Content Creation Challenge. The awards ceremony took place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Makerere University Freshers’ Ball held at Impis Rugby Grounds.

The month-long challenge invited students to produce original digital content inspired by their interests, including football, music, and food, focusing on English Premier League matchday experiences, meals, and Coca-Cola moments. Winners like Kalema Benjamin from MUBS and Nakityo Deborah from Kyambogo University received prizes for their creative output.

Barry Otieno, Coca-Cola Uganda’s Senior Marketing Manager, encouraged young creators to remain consistent and innovative, noting further prize opportunities in November. The initiative is part of Coca-Cola’s broader campaign to create earning opportunities for young people through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
