Zambia raises fuel prices for November

Petrol, diesel, and kerosene costs increase due to global oil prices and Kwacha depreciation.

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has increased fuel prices for November, raising petrol by K1.60 per litre, diesel by K1.18, and kerosene by K2.32.

Petrol now costs K33.06 per litre, diesel K34.45, and kerosene K32.08, according to ERB Board Chairperson James Banda, who cited rising international oil prices and Kwacha depreciation as reasons for the adjustments.

The ERB noted that international oil prices have risen due to Middle East tensions, with petrol increasing from US$121.58 to US$125.84 per barrel, though diesel prices saw a slight decrease.

Why it mattersZambians will pay more for petrol, diesel, and kerosene starting in November.
