Gabon launches digital platform for public services
Gabon Connect aims to simplify administrative tasks, secure public revenue, and improve the business environment.
Gabon launched its digital platform, Gabon Connect, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Libreville. The platform integrates services like Déclaration unique des salaires (DUS) and TrésorPay to streamline administrative processes and enhance public revenue collection. Vice-president Hermann Immongault presented the initiative, which aims to simplify procedures, reduce processing times, and improve the overall business climate.
The Gabon Connect platform will progressively consolidate digitized public services onto a single online interface. It includes six key services: eTax for taxes, eEmployeur for social formalities, TrésorPay for non-fiscal revenues, eDouane for customs, and ePropriété for land registry. The full deployment is scheduled to conclude by December 2027, with the goal of reducing physical travel and procedural complexity for citizens and businesses.
Beyond administrative simplification, Gabon Connect is designed to improve oversight of fiscal, customs, and non-fiscal revenues. The introduction of DUS and TrésorPay specifically targets the security of collections and transparency in public fund management. This digital transformation is seen as a strategic lever to de-silo services, ensure reliable information, and boost public action efficiency, according to Immongault.
Why it mattersGabonese citizens and businesses will experience simplified administrative procedures and improved transparency in public service delivery.
