Naledi Funeral Planners earns tax compliance award
Revenue Services Lesotho recognised the company for adhering to tax laws amid a boardroom dispute.
Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) recently presented Naledi Funeral Planners (Pty) Ltd with a Tax Compliant Taxpayer Award. The award honours the funeral services company for its adherence to Lesotho’s tax laws. Naledi Funeral Planners, incorporated in 2012, operates across northern, central, and southern Lesotho, offering funeral policies and related services.
The recognition comes as the company navigates a boardroom dispute that has reached the High Court’s Commercial Division. Acting Managing Director Tšolo Seutloali stated the award reflects the company's commitment to good governance and compliance, noting that clients entrust Naledi with their money. He praised the finance department for ensuring compliance with VAT obligations.
Seutloali described tax payment as a way of giving back to the country and a testament to integrity, institutional discipline, and fiduciary responsibility. The company's operations include providing funeral services, coffins, and cashback to clients who pay premiums.
