Maputo water supply to be restricted this weekend
Maintenance work at SAAS-Maputo facilities will affect several neighbourhoods in Maputo City and Matola-Rio.
Water supply will be restricted in several neighbourhoods across Maputo City and the Matola-Rio area this weekend. Maputo Water and Sanitation (SAAS-Maputo) announced the disruptions are due to ongoing maintenance work.
The maintenance is taking place in the Matola-Rio Operational Area and at the Chamanculo Distribution Centre in Maputo City. SAAS-Maputo stated that services are expected to return to normal on Monday.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to prepare for the temporary interruption in water services. The exact duration of the disruption beyond Monday has not been specified in the announcement.
