Windhoek City Sporting Club becomes Pamwe
The club aims for professionalisation, youth development, and commercial sustainability with a new identity.
Pamwe Sporting Club has officially launched its new identity, formerly known as Windhoek City Sporting Club. The rebranding took place on Wednesday at the Pionier Boys School Sports Ground, with a vision for professionalisation, youth development, and long-term commercial sustainability.
Club president Ndafelenga Ndafyaalako stated the change represents a move towards a professionally managed and commercially independent institution. Key development pillars include women's senior football, youth football, and facilities management. The women's programme has already seen five national team call-ups and two scholarships.
The club is seeking corporate partnerships for player welfare, equipment, and infrastructure development, including a second football field. Senior women's team captain Wanda Garoes noted the name Pamwe, meaning 'together', reflects the club's solidarity, which contributed to their 2026 Namibia Football Association Cup semi-final appearance.
