Bank of Kigali marks 60 years with football and music tour
The bank's anniversary celebrations began in Rubavu with a BK Pro League match and concerts by local artists.
Bank of Kigali (BK) launched its 60th anniversary nationwide tour in Rubavu on October 31, 2026, bringing football and live music to fans. The celebration kicked off with a BK Pro League weekend featuring APR FC defeating Etincelles FC 2-0. Following the match, artists Riderman and Juno Kizigenza, with DJ RY, performed for the crowd.
The tour aims to celebrate six decades of service by taking the festivities to communities across Rwanda, not just Kigali. BK, as the title sponsor of the BK Pro League, is using match days to provide fans with a full day of sport and entertainment. This initiative is part of the bank's year-long BK@60 celebration.
The Rubavu event continues on November 1, 2026, with Marine FC hosting Rayon Sports FC, accompanied by entertainment from DJ June. Kitoko Bibarwa is scheduled to headline the evening concert. BK stated the anniversary celebration belongs to every Rwandan and aims to unite people through football and music.
