Raffles Family Office will promote projects including aviation, tourism, and real estate to wealthy clients.
Rwanda has partnered with Asian wealth management firm Raffles Family Office to attract hundreds of millions of dollars in private investment for projects in aviation, tourism, real estate, and infrastructure. The agreement with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), announced on October 22, 2026, aims to connect international investors with priority economic development projects.
Raffles Family Office will leverage its network of wealthy individuals and international investors to promote opportunities in Rwanda, including developments for the planned Formula 1 Grand Prix. Projects highlighted include Kigali International Airport in Bugesera, Airport City, hotels, tourism facilities, and entertainment and commercial real estate. RDB Chief Executive Jean-Guy Afrika said private-sector participation would be important to realizing these opportunities.
The partnership aims to attract hundreds of millions of dollars over the coming years, with the first Formula 1 race expected in the early 2030s after circuit construction. Raffles Family Office Chief Executive Chi Man Kwan said the agreement would connect clients with prioritized sectors and support long-term investment in Rwanda and Africa. Jean de Dieu Uwihanganye, appointed principal for emerging markets, previously served as a Rwandan minister of state.
