The deal, signed in Annaba, aims to exchange professional expertise in fishing techniques for "Dorade Coryphene" using fish aggregation devices.
The agreement was signed by Miloud Triaa, Director General of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Algeria's Ministry of Agriculture, and Ashraf Ben Soliman, Director General of the Tunisian Professional Group for Fisheries Products. Triaa stated the accord will strengthen bilateral cooperation and develop partnerships between specialized training institutions to improve professional skills and joint practical training.
The workshop concluded with recommendations for a joint project at Algeria's National Center for Research and Development in Fisheries and Aquaculture, in coordination with Tunisia's National Institute of Marine Sciences and Technologies. This project will involve practical field trips and testing of fish aggregation devices to advance "Dorade Coryphene" fishing techniques and knowledge.
